Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a strong understanding of kitchen operations, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to restaurant standards, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and execute menu items in accordance with recipes, portioning, and presentation guidelines.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Assist in the receiving, stocking, and rotation of inventory.
  • Follow direction from the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to ensure consistency and quality in all dishes.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
  • Monitor food stock levels and communicate shortages or quality concerns to management.
  • Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper food storage and handling.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a line cook, prep cook, or similar role in a professional kitchen.
  • Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and kitchen procedures.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency in food preparation.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Culinary school training is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment.
