What will you be doing?
- Prepare and cook food quickly and correctly following all required recipes and prepared in a timely manner.
- Store food correctly and use proper rotation and dating standards.
- Determine inventory of food items and requisition from storeroom.
- Maintain high quality level of food production and presentation.
- Maintain all cleanliness and sanitation of cooking area along with personal hygiene.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
- Previous cooking experience required; culinary or apprenticeship program preferred, high school degree or equivalent required.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours.
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in extreme temperatures and under pressure.
- Proficiency in line station and ability to read orders from a POS system.
- Ability to cut, dice, julienne, and prepare fresh produce with proper techniques.
- Familiarity with seafood stocks, grilling, sautéing, deep frying, and cold food prep.
- Knowledge of proper cooking procedures, knife handling, and use of kitchen tools.
- Ability to read orders for the point of sales system and understand English.
