About the Role
Our client, a major New England investor-owned utility, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Analyst to support the final phase of a large-scale Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) deployment. The AMI Support Analyst is responsible for resolving exceptions within AMI systems, ensuring accurate and timely meter data flow, and coordinating across internal teams to maintain operational efficiency. Success in this role depends on strong customer service instincts, analytical thinking, and exceptional problem-solving ability.
A Typical Day
- Resolve exceptions between the work order management system and the billing system
- Review case notes, verify property details via public map tools and assessor records, and document findings
- Contact customers, landlords, or property managers as appropriate; close billing exceptions after contact while tracking deployment status through the ticketing system until completion
- Make customer contact, schedule appointments, create work orders, and coordinate meter exchanges
- Escalate complex cases to deployment supervisors for field-level insight or potential site visits
- Make a minimum of two additional outreach attempts on unresolved cases
- Support blind-field ( "cold call ") in-person attempts as needed
- Deprioritize stalled cases and focus on workable inventory
- Participate in final deployment case-review sessions for any remaining outreach and closure strategies
- High school diploma required
- Entry-level role — no prior professional experience required
- College graduates welcome; active students not considered for this engagement
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office — Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through on open cases
- Comfortable on the phone with customers, landlords, and property managers
- Able to manage a dynamic case queue and reprioritize as needed
