Job Title: Senior Estimator

Salary: $125K-$150K DOE bonus
Our client is a well-established and highly respected structural steel fabricator delivering complex commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects across the United States. With a reputation for quality, reliability and execution, they partner with leading general contractors and developers on some of the region's most challenging steel construction projects.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their estimating department and play a key role in securing profitable work.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the estimating department across all structural steel opportunities.
- Review bid invitations, drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Develop comprehensive bid strategies for commercial structural steel projects.
- Prepare and review detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
- Evaluate labor, fabrication, erection, detailing, trucking, and subcontractor costs.
- Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving solutions.
- Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and aligned with company profitability goals.
- Manage multiple bids simultaneously while maintaining strict submission deadlines.
- Work closely with Business Development, Project Management, Engineering, and Executive Leadership during bid reviews.
- Present estimates and recommendations during executive bid meetings.
- Mentor and develop junior estimators while improving estimating processes and best practices.
- Maintain estimating databases, production rates, historical pricing, and market intelligence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, developers, general contractors, engineers, and key industry partners.
What We
- 7 years in structural steel estimating
- Deep knowledge of AISC standards on fabrication and erection
- Tekla (essential)
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field (ideal)
