Job Overview
Join our team as a Rest Area Worker and play a vital role in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming facilities for travelers. You will be responsible for ensuring rest areas are clean, well-organized, and inviting. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop valuable custodial and facilities maintenance skills while contributing to the comfort of countless travelers. Crew members are required to work nights and weekends as scheduled. Marca Industries, Inc. is a private, nonprofit organization that provides services for people with developmental disabilities. Including workforce training and employment opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Custodial duties, including bathrooms, floors, windows, and walls.
- Lawncare duties, including mowing, weeding, planting, and general landscaping.
- Trash removal.
- Snow removal and salting of parking area and sidewalks.
- Use of power equipment, including mowers, blowers, weed trimmers, and snow blowers.
Related Requirements
- Valid Driver's license
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to work in any weather conditions.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Demonstrate and maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Marca Industries leadership.
- Promote interpersonal sensitivity (objective awareness to others, tactful interaction).
