The Digital Designer partners closely with the Senior Digital Design Director and Art Directors to create and deliver elevated digital experiences across multiple brands within the Marc Fisher Footwear portfolio. This role designs and produces ecommerce and performance marketing creative that supports the customer journey across digital channels, including websites, email, paid and organic social, and wholesale platforms.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, highly organized designer with a strong foundation in digital design, typography, layout, motion, and visual storytelling. They excel at managing multiple projects and high-volume deliverables while maintaining brand consistency, creative quality, and attention to detail. With a thoughtful approach to UX/UI, they translate business goals and creative direction into intuitive digital solutions and confidently communicate design decisions with cross-functional partners.
Working within established brand guidelines, the Digital Designer independently manages projects from concept through delivery while collaborating with Creative, Ecommerce, Marketing, and production teams. They are proactive, adaptable, and curious, with a passion for evolving design practices, emerging technologies, and AI-powered tools that enhance creative exploration and execution.
This role reports to our midtown NYC office on a hybrid basis, 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
Responsibilities
- Design and produce digital creative across ecommerce, email marketing, paid and organic social, wholesale, and performance marketing channels, including:
- Website and landing page experiences
- Email campaigns
- Digital advertising
- Social media creative
- Wholesale branded stores
- Motion and video assets
- Manage assigned projects from concept through final delivery, ensuring high-quality execution, timely delivery, and alignment with business objectives, creative direction, and brand standards.
- Collaborate with Senior Digital Design leadership, Art Directors, and cross-functional partners to define requirements, prioritize projects, and deliver impactful, elevated digital solutions.
- Translate marketing initiatives and business goals into intuitive, accessible, user-centered experiences through user flows, wireframes, responsive layouts, and polished UI designs.
- Lead UX/UI design for assigned projects by developing concepts, presenting solutions, incorporating feedback, and communicating design rationale.
- Create responsive digital experiences across devices, platforms, and placements while maintaining consistency through design systems, templates, and asset libraries.
- Prepare production-ready assets, manage creative variations, and support image selection, retouching, and post-production needs.
- Leverage AI-powered creative tools and emerging technologies to support ideation, exploration, production efficiency, and creative innovation while maintaining brand quality.
- Contribute to creative reviews, workflow improvements, knowledge sharing, and the continued adoption of digital design trends, ecommerce best practices, and accessibility standards.
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of digital design experience, preferably within fashion, retail, ecommerce, or a consumer-focused brand environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design, or a related field preferred.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and strong proficiency in Figma, including digital layouts, components, and collaborative workflows.
- Experience creating motion and video assets using tools such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, or similar platforms is required.
- Strong understanding of digital design principles, including typography, layout, visual hierarchy, responsive design, UX/UI, accessibility, and user-centered design practices.
- Proven experience designing high-volume ecommerce, marketing, and performance-driven digital assets across multiple channels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize deadlines, adapt to changing needs, and maintain attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Creative, Marketing, Ecommerce, Development, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present concepts, incorporate feedback, and clearly articulate design decisions.
- Experience translating creative direction and brand guidelines into consistent, high-quality digital experiences.
- Experience leveraging AI-powered creative tools and emerging technologies to support ideation, design exploration, and production efficiency is a plus.
