Direct Support Professional (DD/ID)- Day Services - FT
MARC is currently recruiting for a dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) in our Day Services Program. The DSP will follow agency and program specific plans that are designed to promote social and emotional growth in the individuals we serve and foster opportunities for independence and individuality allowing them to grow as members of their community. The DSP will facilitate training, social and community-based activities and assist in creating opportunities for inclusion. The ideal candidate will have compassion, previous experience assisting adults with special needs, strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as good judgment.
Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm Total: 40 hours Quarry/DSH
REQUIRMENTS:
- Must have a valid CT Driver's License and reliable vehicle with current CT registration and insurance
- PSL endorsement (or ability to obtain one).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR, First Aid, PMT and Med Certification are preferred.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years’ experience with adults with developmental disabilities preferred but will train right candidates.
