The Elementary ABA Teacher for Marblehead Public Schools provides specialized instruction and behavioral support to students in grades K–3 with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and other learning or behavioral needs. Using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies, the teacher delivers individualized instruction, supports inclusion, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure student growth in academic, social, communication, and functional domains.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide direct ABA-based instruction using evidence‑based practices such as discrete trial teaching, natural environment teaching, task analysis, and reinforcement systems.
Develop and implement IEP-aligned instructional plans tailored to individual student needs.
Collect, analyze, and maintain ongoing data to monitor progress and adjust programming.
Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) with fidelity and consistency.
Support students across school environments, including general education classrooms, specials, lunch, recess, and transitions.
Collaborate with BCBAs, special educators, general education teachers, related service providers, and paraprofessionals to ensure cohesive programming.
Provide coaching, modeling, and feedback to paraprofessionals implementing ABA strategies.
Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team meetings.
Maintain a structured, positive, and safe learning environment that promotes independence, engagement, and self‑regulation.
Communicate regularly with families to support home‑school consistency.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Student Services leadership.
