Job Overview
POSITION: CAD Programmer
STATUS: Full-time
Responsible for making and repairing jewelry tooling and casting models in conjunction with our in-house tool department.
DUTIES:
· Create files in various formats (stl,dxf,…etc) via desired software, scanner, or from provided artwork or finished tooling in a timely manner
· Stay up to date on the latest software technology relevant to assigned projects
· Set up and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, conventional EDM/Wire EDM to shape parts to prescribed dimensions and finishes
· Verify dimensions, alignment, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators
· Visualize and compute dimensions, sizes, shapes and tolerances of assemblies, based on specifications
· Perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
· Expertise in the design and creation of various CAD designs both 2D and 3D using software such as RHINO, Blender, or others
· Expertise in various prototyping disciplines
· Basic knowledge in the use of lathes, milling machines, grinders and drill presses
· Communication skills
· Extreme attention to detail
· Strong organizational skills
· Ability to work with minimal supervision
Pay: $36.00 - $42.00 per hour
