Position Summary
As a CNC Waterjet Operator at Mar-Vel Tool, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC waterjet cutting equipment and other CNC machinery to manufacture high-quality precision components in accordance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and production schedules. This is a hands-on role requiring strong machining knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced job shop environment.
The successful candidate will take ownership of machine setup, production, inspection, and routine equipment care while ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all company safety policies and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Set up and operate CNC waterjet cutting equipment and other CNC machinery.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, work instructions, and customer specifications.
- Verify machine programs, material specifications, nesting layouts, and cutting parameters before production.
- Perform machine offsets, adjustments, and setup changes.
- Load and unload raw materials using overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
- Inspect first-off, in-process, and completed parts using precision measuring equipment.
- Maintain production schedules while meeting quality and delivery requirements.
- Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Assist with other manufacturing activities as required.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
