Produce Clerk

About the Role:

The Produce Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring the quality, freshness, and presentation of fruits and vegetables within the store located in Sebastopol. This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and stocking produce items to maintain optimal inventory levels and meet customer demand. The Produce Clerk will collaborate closely with suppliers and store management to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Additionally, this role involves maintaining cleanliness and organization in the produce section to create an inviting shopping experience. Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of fruits and vegetables, including proper handling and storage.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a grocery or produce department.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.

• Ability to operate produce handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts.

Responsibilities:
