What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator position at Mar-Bal?
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating plastic injection and/or compression machinery to produce high-quality thermoset plastic products efficiently and safely.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
· Operates various molding presses following standard procedures (understanding press packet)
· Deflashes, inspects and packs parts as needed and palletizes finished goods correctly per work instructions
· Reports any non-conforming issues to shift supervisor
· Know and understand Quality Policy. Understands and performs visual criteria inspections.
· Verifies questionable parts with quality staff
· Fills out clean and legible reports (Scrap/Production Report, product labels)
· Responsible for a clean, orderly, and safe work area
· Clocks in/out for scheduled shift times
· Verifies job assignment and reports to assigned press at scheduled start time
· Respect co-workers, equipment and facility
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Maintains acceptable attendance based off of attendance point system policy
· Must be able to stand while operating machinery
· Must be able to push, pull and lift 50 lbs.
· Understands difference between (WP) and (FG) products
· IQMS usage - clocks in/out properly for work/breaks
· Understands the difference between skill levels needed to progress through Operator I-III
· Understanding of all areas outlined on the Skills Checklist.
