Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled National Fleet and Safety Manager to lead our fleet operations and safety initiatives across the organization. This pivotal role involves overseeing the management of transportation safety compliance, logistics coordination, and regulatory adherence on a national scale. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement in fleet safety standards, ensure compliance with international and domestic trade regulations, and optimize logistics processes to support our supply chain efficiency. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive fleet safety programs aligned with transportation safety regulations and OSHA standards to minimize risk and promote a safety-first culture.
- Oversee logistics operations including freight management, import/export procedures, customs brokerage, and customs clearance processes ensuring compliance with international trade regulations such as FDA regulations, trade compliance laws, and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) guidelines.
- Manage regulatory reporting requirements related to transportation safety, customs compliance, and supply chain activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Lead risk management initiatives by conducting audits, analyzing Excel data reports, and utilizing global trade management software to identify areas for improvement in fleet operations and regulatory adherence.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure logistics compliance across all transportation activities while maintaining adherence to customs regulations and export/import management protocols.
- Provide technical expertise in transportation management systems, fleet management tools, and office software to streamline operations and enhance data analysis capabilities.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by training staff on OSHA standards, transportation safety regulations, and best practices for logistics compliance management.
Experience
- Proven experience managing large-scale fleet operations with a focus on safety compliance within a national or global organization.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, transportation safety standards, and logistics compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated expertise in customs brokerage management, customs clearance processes, and international trade regulations including FDA guidelines.
- Proficiency in Excel data analysis, report writing, and utilizing global trade management software for operational insights.
- Experience overseeing export/import activities while ensuring adherence to trade compliance laws such as OFAC regulations.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare detailed reports and present complex information clearly.
