What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Box position at Maples Industries, Inc.?
Provides inspectors with the correct box to place the rug in for shipping.
Essential Functions:
- Places case pack sticker on the correct box and correct placement based on style/size of rug for up to ten styles possible.
- Distributes supplies to inspectors and ticket clerks.
- Maintains, straightens, and puts supplies in storage racks.
- Helps inspector/ticket clerks with needed supplies.
- Orders boxes for assigned lines when needed.
- Must provide boxes for the next shift to be set up.
- Helps keep department safe by keeping cardboards and green strapping up from floor.
- Other duties as required or requested by management.
Education and/or Experience:
No prior experience or training.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required by stand; walk; stoop and bend; reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- The employee is exposed to lint or airborne particles.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
