What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crosscutter position at Maples Industries, Inc.?
Operates machine that cuts carpet/rugs into specified length/sizes and then sends them to serge operator to complete sewing process.
Essential Functions:
- Pulls, straightens, and positions rug onto cutting table aligning the cut line under the light or positions the rug to a predetermined measurement or marked indicator.
- Depresses pedal to activate cutting head across table to cut rugs.
- Stacks rugs onto board.
- Positions board and rugs to appropriate conveyor.

- Employee is occasionally required to walk; stoop, kneel.

- Specific vision requirements include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
- The employee is regularly exposed to move mechanical parts, lint and airborne particles.
- The noise level in the work enviroment is usually moderate.
