Maple Ridge Manor in Lowell, MI is looking for one laundry aide to join our 70 person strong team. We are located on 12020 Foreman St Se. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and engaged.
Position Summary
The Laundry Aide is responsible for providing clean, sanitary, and properly handled linens and personal clothing for residents within the Home for the Aged. This position helps maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment while ensuring resident belongings are handled with care and dignity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident laundry and facility linens
- Operate laundry equipment safely and according to manufacturer guidelines
- Follow infection control procedures and proper handling of soiled linens
- Ensure resident clothing and personal items are returned to the correct resident
- Inspect linens and clothing for damage or stains and report concerns as needed
- Maintain laundry areas in a clean, organized, and sanitary condition
- Monitor and restock laundry supplies as needed
- Follow all safety procedures regarding chemicals and equipment use
- Assist with labeling resident clothing and linens when necessary
- Respond respectfully and professionally to resident and staff requests
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous laundry, housekeeping, or healthcare experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and organization

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
