You’ll lead by example, provide training and direction to your team, and play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant food production environment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and coordinate the nightly sanitation crew according to the Master Sanitation Schedule
- Train, coach, and support sanitation team members to uphold food safety and quality standards
- Oversee cleaning, disassembly, sanitation, and reassembly of food processing equipment
- Verify completion of sanitation tasks to meet SSOP, GMP, and company standards
- Perform pre-operational inspections and maintain accurate sanitation documentation
- Ensure safe use of PPE and sanitation chemicals; maintain awareness of relevant SDS information
- Report equipment or facility issues promptly to maintenance and management
- Support continuous improvement efforts in sanitation and overall food safety performance
- Assist with cross-training, compliance tasks, and corrective actions as needed
- Previous sanitation experience in a manufacturing or food production environment required
- Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience (food industry preferred)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in both English and Spanish (bilingual required)
- Experience working with sanitation chemicals and industrial cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of GMPs, SSOPs, and food safety procedures
- Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends
- Ability to work in wet or humid environments and lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience with forklifts or scissor lifts a plus
- Shift: 3:30 PM – Midnight
- Pay: $24.00 – $27.00 per hour (based on experience)
