Automotive Internet Sales Specialist – Job Description
Position Overview:
The Automotive Internet Sales Specialist is responsible for managing all online sales leads, engaging customers through digital communication channels, and guiding them through the vehicle purchase process. This role focuses on delivering an exceptional online shopping experience, building customer relationships, and driving dealership sales through effective follow-up and product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to internet leads, website inquiries, and online chat conversations.
- Communicate with customers via email, text, and phone to answer questions, schedule appointments, and provide vehicle information.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge across all vehicle models, trims, features, and available incentives.
- Develop rapport with online shoppers to build trust and encourage dealership visits.
- Track and manage all leads in the CRM system, ensuring accurate notes and timely follow-up.
- Work closely with the sales team, BDC, and management to coordinate appointments and ensure smooth transitions.
- Provide virtual walkarounds, price quotes, trade evaluation assistance, and payment options when needed.
- Stay up to date with current OEM incentives, dealership promotions, and finance programs.
- Meet and exceed sales goals, appointment metrics, and customer satisfaction standards.
- Deliver a consistent, professional, high-quality customer experience throughout the digital sales process.
Qualifications:
- Previous automotive sales or customer service experience preferred.
