Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and experienced individual to handle material movement, order picking, and inventory management within our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment while ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Pick and pack orders accurately based on customer requirements and shipping schedules.
- Load and unload delivery trucks, ensuring proper handling of all products.
- Move materials within the warehouse and organize inventory as directed.
- Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
- Follow safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and equipment handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist in inspecting shipments for quality and accuracy.
- Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.
- Operate a forklift to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload products from trailers or containers.
- Stack and store merchandise in designated areas.
- Ensure accuracy in picking orders using order pickers.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the forklift.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Assist in other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator, material handler, or order picker.
- Forklift certification is required (or ability to obtain certification prior to employment).
- Valid certification to operate sit down forklifts
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic math and inventory skills.
- Strong understanding of materials handling techniques.
- Familiarity with pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
