SMT Repair Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented SMT Repair Technician to join our production team in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment. In this role, you will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair Surface Mount Technology (SMT) printed circuit board assemblies (PCB / PCBAs). Whether you have a background in Electronics Assembly or are looking to transition into a quality inspector path, we offer a supportive atmosphere with clear growth potential.

Responsibilities Include:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair defective SMT and Through hole components on PCB assemblies.
• Perform fine-pitch component removal and rework using hot air tools and a precision solder station.
• Utilize microscopes, magnifying equipment, and hand tools to apply clean, accurate solder to delicate micro-components.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and IPC standards to perform Through hole and surface-mount repair work.
• Perform visual inspections to verify solder joint quality and component alignment.
• Maintain clean work areas in our warehouse facility and adhere strictly to ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety standards.

Skills / Qualifications:

• Experience: 1 years of experience in SMT repair, PCB rework, or general Electronics Assembly preferred (will train motivated candidates).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency or aptitude in hand solder techniques, fine-pitch Through hole rework, and utilizing hot air tools.
• Visual Acuity: Ability to perform detailed rework under a microscope for extended periods.
• IPC Standards: Knowledge of IPC-A-610 or IPC-7711/7721 standards is a strong plus for any aspiring quality inspector.
• Core Abilities: Strong hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and the ability to read technical schematics.
• Hiring Requirements: Must pass a standard background check. (Drug screening is not required for this position).
