Payroll Specialist
500 employee company – ADP software experience is required
We are seeking a Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for coordinating and analyzing the ADP payroll process within our 500 company located in Wilmington, DE. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely payment of employees, compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and maintaining payroll records.
Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing-Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including collecting, processing, and validating payroll data.
Compliance-Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.
Reporting -Prepare and analyze payroll reports, including labor distribution, tax liabilities, and payroll forecasts.
Systems Management-Oversee ADP payroll systems and software, ensuring they are updated and functioning correctly.
Audit Preparation-Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll processes.
Employee Support-Address employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, deductions, and benefits.
Qualifications:
Education-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred
Experience-Proven experience in payroll management or a similar role, with knowledge of payroll software.
Certifications-Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred.
Skills-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Competencies:
Knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, TOAST and ADP payroll software systems.
