Job Title:         Cabinet Builder

Division:          Manuel Custom Millworks

Reports to:     Operations Manager

General Summary: Operation and maintenance of woodworking machines, power tools, pneumatic tools and hand tools, to cut and assemble cabinet components according to blueprints.

Education Requirements:  High school diploma/GED

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to read a professional tape measure and blueprints
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
• Ability to move, lift and carry cabinets or cabinet materials

Essential Job Functions

• Operation and maintenance of woodworking machines, power tools, pneumatic tools and hand tools, to cut and assemble cabinet components according to blueprints
• Knowledge of building materials
• Provide excellent teamwork and customer service

• Able to custom build pieces in an efficient manner

• Make arithmetic calculations quickly and accurately
• Be exact in measurements and markings so that materials will be used efficiently, and the projects will meet budgetary restrictions

• Ability to constantly lift and move heavy and large objects
• Sustained periods of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling

• Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices; follows all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of machines and equipment
• Manage and receive material deliveries and restock as necessary
• Ability to work overtime as requested
• Operate motor vehicle to travel to jobs to perform installs or lockouts
• Comply with all policies and procedures

Work environment and schedule:

• Normal business hours:  Monday – Thursday, 7 am – 4:30 pm and  Friday 7 am – 11 am

• Periodic night and weekend work may be necessary
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by management
