What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Systems Technician position at Manthei Wood Products?
At The Manthei Group, we’re not simply a collection of companies. We are creative multipliers. From harvesting responsibly sourced wood products, heavy construction, concrete manufacturing, to licensed building-material technology, hospitality and real estate, our diverse portfolio spans multiple industries united by one purpose. Founded on the grit and vision of Constance & Ferdinand Manthei in Northern Michigan, our story is one of innovation, family-values and community commitment since the early 1900’s.
We believe in doing more: more with our time, talents, and teams and we invite you to bring your drive and abilities where they’ll make a meaningful difference. You’ll be part of a team that builds real value, your work will contribute to something bigger than just profit.
We are expanding internal shared services and seeking a motivated, curious, and dependable junior IT Systems Administrator to provide front-line technical support across the Manthei Group. You’ll help standardize processes, maintain systems, and support users in a mixed Windows and Google Workspace environment.
This role reports to the IT Director and works closely with both internal staff and our external Managed Service Provider (MSP).
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be part of a growing IT team bringing structure and innovation to a dynamic, multi-company environment. Expect hands-on experience, supportive leadership, and real opportunities to shape how technology supports the business. You will thrive here if you take initiative, communicate clearly, and follow through. You adapt quickly to different business environments and see technology as a means to empower people and improve operations.
What We Offer
This is a full-time, year-round, onsite position. We offer a package of forward-thinking employee benefits, including excellent health, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401k with employer match, profit sharing, paid time off, paid holidays, award-winning adoption and foster care reimbursement, partial paid family leave, product discounts, access to an onsite licensed professional counselor, connections coordinator and a team of dedicated and caring coworkers.
