Must possess a valid credential authorizing instruction in both Music and Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Music Teacher • Single Subject Teaching Credential in Music Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Teacher • Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with an authorization in Art, Dance, Music, and/or Theater; OR • Single Subject Teaching Credential in Art, Dance, Music, and/or Theater.

The following documents are REQUIRED to be submitted with your online application: • Letter of Introduction • Resume • Single Subject Music Credential and Credential/Authorization in Art, Dance, Musica and/or Theater* or Transcripts (Required for all Pre-interns) • EL Authorization (must provide proof if it is not embedded in California Credential) • Two (2) recent professional letters of recommendation (within one year)** • CBEST (optional) *Credential Copy (Must show Subject Description, expiration date and EL Authorization) *Letters of recommendation should be from current or former Principal, Assistant Principal, Department Chair, Program Director, or Supervisor. If you have not taught in California (new to the profession), please include a letter from your university program supervisor, master teacher, or practicum supervisor.

MUSD accepts up to twenty-one (21) years of full-time school years.
