Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI)
Start Date: September 1, 2026
Responsibilities include:
●Conduct functional vision and learning media evaluations
●Provide direct and/or consultative service to students with visual impairments as outlined in IEP’s or 504 plans
●Deliver specialized instruction in areas such as braille, assistive technology, visual efficiency, and compensatory skills
●Adapt and prepare instructional materials in accessible formats (braille, large print, tactile graphics, digital text)
●Train and support caregivers, staff, and other stakeholders in strategies
●Devise, implement, monitor, and report on progress for IEP goals and objectives
●Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including teachers and related service providers
