What are the responsibilities and job description for the Print Press Operator position at Mansfield Bag and Paper Company?
The Print Press Operator will work on our hand-fed printing presses. This includes setting up presses, feeding and catching bags, and cleaning up and maintaining presses. In addition to operating our printing presses, the Press Operator will be a part of the team responsible for general warehouse duties including unloading inventory containers, operating a forklift, baling bags, shipping daily freight, and other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have a 100% attendance record with no obligations to keep them away from the job.
Other requirements include:
· Ability to sit or stand for an 8-hour shift
· Ability to identify minor issues in print and color
· Ability to lift, with one other person, 100 lbs. repetitively
· Ability to quickly climb stairs or small ladders to make adjustments
· Ability to work as a pair or in a small team
· Willingness to get dirty and covered in ink
· Ability to make minor adjustments by hand or with hand tools
· Mechanical ability a plus
