Additional responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement supply chain and sourcing best practices
- Oversee daily operations related to receiving, warehousing, inventory, and shipping.
- Implement and monitor inventory control procedures, including FIFO, cycle counts, and inventory reduction/addition controls
- Maintain physical condition and organization of warehouses, ensuring safety and cleanliness
- Coordinate efforts for outgoing shipments, both domestic and international
- Schedule and prioritize shipments based on production needs and inventory levels
- Resolve transportation-related issues, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and inventory management processes.
- Leverage data analytics to improve freight efficiency and performance.
- Analyze freight spending and identify areas for improvement.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performance team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Work closely with leadership to achieve financial objectives related to inventory levels and procurement costs.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven leadership experience in procurement, sourcing, and inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with ERP systems required, Epicor or JD Edwards preferred.
- High proficiency with inventory management, SIOP, lean manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement
- Experience in coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and receipt of goods.
