Supplier Quality Engineer

Our client, Energy Manufacturing / Power Generation Industry, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Supplier Quality Management / Global Supply Chain organization supporting Engineering, Manufacturing, and Global SCM Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical thinking, cross‑functional collaboration skills, and a results‑oriented mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Fort Payne, AL

Pay Range: 38$ - 42$ per hour

What’s the Job?

• Lead supplier qualification activities including supplier audits, capability, capacity, and risk assessments
• Drive Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) in collaboration with cross‑functional global teams
• Manage supplier nonconformances through containment, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions
• Implement and track supplier quality improvement programs and risk mitigation measures
• Participate in design reviews and early supplier involvement to support new product introduction, DTL, and DTC initiatives
  
  

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier quality, technical field, or supply chain environment
• Extensive knowledge of welding and coatings; CWI certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of ISO and ASME standards with root cause analysis methodologies
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams in a global, multicultural environment
