Quality Engineer

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be integral to supporting manufacturing excellence, fostering continuous improvement, and ensuring product quality standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to quality management, aligning seamlessly with the organization’s commitment to innovation and excellence.

Job Title: Quality Engineer

Location: Ames, Iowa

Pay Range:$65,000 - $85,000

What's the Job?

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and process quality.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
• Support and verify the implementation of permanent corrective actions across production lines.
• Coordinate and facilitate 8D problem-solving teams to address quality concerns.
• Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards through audits and documentation.
  
  

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience; 5 years of quality engineering experience preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards; training available for new graduates.
• Strong understanding of quality tools such as FMEA, PPAP, DOE, APQP, and 8D.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP/MRP systems like SAP.
• Excellent problem-solving, project management, and technical reporting skills.
