QUALITY ENGINEER - Direct Hire

Our client, a leading automotive manufacturer, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Quality team supporting both customer-facing initiatives and plant operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a hands-on mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams. **This is a GROWTH ORIENTED role as Promotion is likely.

Job Title: Quality Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Lakeshore Area West MI

Pay Range: $80-$105K Depending on Experience.

What’s the Job?

• Lead customer quality issues using 8D, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Translate customer requirements into internal quality standards and drive execution
• Support launches with APQP, PPAP, and readiness activities
• Partner with production to resolve daily quality issues and improve process capability
• Maintain and improve PFMEA, Control Plans, and quality documentation
  
  

What’s Needed?

• Experience in automotive manufacturing (Tier 1 or Tier 2 preferred)
• Strong knowledge of AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA)
• Proven problem-solving skills in a production environment
• Working knowledge of IATF 16949 standards
• Hands-on, team-oriented approach with strong communication skills
