Mechanical Design Engineers

Our client, a leader in innovative hardware solutions, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Work under limited supervision alongside talented engineers to architect, design, build, and test components and assemblies.
• Lead and contribute to engineering projects across various hardware needs and locations.
• Apply mechanical design tools such as Onshape and Ansys to develop innovative solutions that meet customer needs, from prototypes to commercial products.
• Capture definitions and manage design changes by interfacing with Arena PLM.
• Advance the maturity of the mechanical engineering function’s outcomes, processes, and tools in alignment with future business needs.
  
  

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of mechanical design experience, including 3D CAD modeling, 2D drafting, and electro-mechanical or opto-mechanical design and packaging.
• At least 3 years of experience summarizing project progress to management and team members.
• Experience with stress or thermal analysis.
• Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.
