Exterior Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the automotive industry, is seeking a dedicated and innovative Exterior Engineer to join their dynamic team. As an Exterior Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Accessory Engineering department, supporting the development and delivery of high-quality exterior accessories. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully within our organization.

Job Title: Exterior Engineer

Location: Mahwah, New Jersey

Pay Range: $45-$50/hour

What's the Job?

• Evaluate and analyze exterior accessory products to ensure compliance with global standards and certifications.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to collate test data, assess risks, and validate product fit and function.
• Manage commodity plans and oversee the engineering release process for multiple accessory categories.
• Conduct validation and testing activities, ensuring timely approval and sign-off for product rollout.
• Support cross-functional interactions with vehicle engineering, procurement, and program management teams to meet project milestones.
  
  

What's Needed?

• Degree in Engineering or a comparable qualification.
• Experience in automotive component or system delivery and development.
• Knowledge of automotive safety, homologation, and certification standards, especially in NAS markets.
• Proficiency with Digi-Buck, Vis-Mock-up, 3D experience, and data analysis tools like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
