Shipping and Receiving Clerk – Temp to Hire
Location: Vista, CA
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
Pay: $18 – $20 per hour
We are looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team! This is a great temp-to-hire opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of hands-on work, organization, and working in a fast-paced environment.
Position Summary
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for verifying and recording shipments, preparing materials for outgoing orders, assisting with production material requests, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role plays a key part in keeping operations running smoothly and ensuring customers receive timely, accurate shipments.
What You’ll Do
Inspect and process incoming shipments for accuracy and quality
Ship products via UPS, FedEx, and truck freight
Package, label, and verify materials for outgoing shipments
Keep a clean, organized work area
Work with customers on shipping updates and requirements
Support QC inspections of finished goods
Provide timely support to production with material requests
Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory discrepancies
Process RMAs and scrap nonconforming material
Participate in training and assist with additional duties as needed
What We’re Looking For
U.S. Person status required (due to export control)
High School Diploma or GED
1–2 years of related experience
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Forklift certified (or willing to obtain certification)
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong communication skills in English
Comfortable with basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Epicor experience a plus
Flexibility to work mandatory overtime or weekends as needed
