Participate in daily production and packaging activities in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all related standard operating procedures (SOPs). Strive to achieve assigned production goals and handle unscheduled workload peaks to ensure timely product release and avoid back orders. Collaborate with the Team Leader to detail critical raw materials, in-process procedures, and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Identify and implement corrective action for technical problems related to raw materials and finished products.
- Perform in-process quality checks on sub-assemblies and finished products.
- Address line issues and other production problems, notifying the Team Leader of required corrective action.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and all related SOPs.
- Utilize a computerized Materials Resource Planning (MRP) inventory system to report lot-controlled ingredients on batch records.
Essential Skills
- At least four years of previous assembly/packaging experience.
- Previous experience in a regulated medical device manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment is strongly preferred.
- Understanding and practical application of SOPs and GDP.
- Experience with line clearances, machine operation, quality assurance, packaging, inspection, and computer operation.
- Familiarity with GMP, GLP, FDA, and ISO standards.
Work Environment
This position is on the 1st shift, from 6 am to 2:30 pm. The dress code prohibits leggings, makeup, lipstick, and headphones on the manufacturing floor. Ear protection is provided due to noise levels. Overtime flexibility is required, with potential Saturday work. Reliability is crucial as absences can create bottlenecks in the process.
