Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: Camp Pendleton (Federal installation – base access required; federal background check required for clearance)
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Program Specialist performs a combination of customer service, retail support, and light warehouse duties in a retail-style store environment. The role primarily supports walk-in customers and inbound phone inquiries, assists with product location and ordering, and supports basic inventory handling such as receiving, labeling, and stocking merchandise.
This location operates more like a retail counter with light warehouse functions and minimal operational risk exposure.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist walk-in customers and respond to inbound phone calls to support product inquiries and ordering needs in alignment with customer service standards
- Help customers locate products and provide basic sales support using available tools and internal systems
- Resolve customer issues by identifying appropriate product solutions and collaborating with internal team members when needed
- Communicate customer concerns to management for timely resolution and service improvement
- Support order processing, including coordinating with vendors to obtain quotes, expedite orders, and source products
- Assist outside sales representatives as needed
- Receive incoming inventory, verify shipments, label products, and stock shelves
- Pick, pack, and replenish inventory in designated areas
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (usage may be occasional; certification requirements to be confirmed)
- Apply barcode labels using internal item numbers and purchase order information
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe work areas in accordance with company standards
- Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned
HAZMAT / CHEMICAL HANDLING CLARIFICATION
- Products handled are similar to standard retail cleaning supplies (e.g., bleach, brake cleaner, household chemicals)
- Employees will NOT mix, use, or dispose of chemicals
- Responsibilities are strictly limited to unpacking, labeling, and stocking sealed products
- While some items may be DOT-regulated, exposure risk is minimal and indirect
WORK ENVIRONMENT & SAFETY CLARIFICATIONS
Height Requirements:
- Although general job descriptions reference heights up to 50 feet, this location operates in a retail-style setup
- Maximum shelving height is approximately 16 feet
- No extreme height or elevated platform work is required
Equipment Use:
- Forklift use is possible but not confirmed as a daily responsibility
- No aerial lifts, boom lifts, or bucket trucks are used
- Standard warehouse equipment only
Driving Requirements:
- No company vehicle required
- No CDL required
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience (inbound/outbound phone support, retail sales, or similar experience required)
- Industry or industrial supply experience preferred
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong customer service and sales skills required
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer literacy (email, web browsers, Windows OS) required
- Ability to learn internal systems and processes quickly
- Ability to obtain required internal certifications (e.g., DOT item handling if applicable, forklift authorization if required)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

- Frequent bending, lifting, and stocking activities
