The Senior Electronic Assembler is responsible for performing advanced electronic and mechanical assembly, SMT soldering, and rework of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and complex assemblies. This role requires the ability to work with minimal supervision, interpret technical documentation, and resolve moderately complex build and repair issues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare, load, and solder printed circuit boards (PCBs) with minimal supervision
- Perform rework, modifications, and repairs on CCAs and electronic components
- Fabricate moderately complex wire harnesses and cable assemblies
- Assemble mechanical components including panels, test boxes, and chassis
- Interpret and work from mechanical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
- Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex assembly and build issues
- Perform repair, removal, and modification of assemblies and sub-assemblies as needed
- Support process improvements and contribute to new assembly procedures
- Identify issues and escalate more complex problems appropriately
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with circuit board assembly and SMT soldering
- Strong knowledge of electronic and mechanical assembly processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Experience with chassis and panel assembly
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
