Sr. Electronic Assembler
- Work Location: 100% Onsite –San Diego, CA 92121
- Shift: 1st Shift Pay rate $24.04/hr DOE
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Hours: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM PST
- Expected Hours: 40 hours per week
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Electronic Assembler performs a variety of electrical and mechanical assembly operations in an engineering and prototyping environment. This role involves wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on assembly units. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, capable of working with minimal supervision, and experienced in interpreting technical documentation to ensure high-quality production standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform electrical and mechanical assembly operations, including wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing.
- Assemble mechanical components such as press-fit parts, rivets, screws, and other hardware using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Prepare, load, and solder printed circuit cards (PCBs) in accordance with IPC standards.
- Conduct routine go/no-go testing of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
- Follow established methods, procedures, and sequence of operations to complete assembly tasks accurately.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and work instructions to support assembly processes.
- Perform basic repair work, rework, and modifications to assemblies and sub-assemblies as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 year of electronic assembly and inspection experience in a manufacturing or production environment, or equivalent technical training.
- Experience using hand soldering equipment and basic hand tools required.
- Soldering SMT small components microscope
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and technical documentation.
- Basic understanding of electronic components and assembly processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks.
- Candidates should have hands-on experience with electronic assembly and soldering.
- Must be comfortable working onsite full-time.
- Strong reliability and attention to detail are critical for success in this role.
