Fund Controller

A growing investment firm is seeking a Fund Controller to support its expanding and increasingly complex portfolio. This role will take ownership of fund-level accounting, valuations, and audit processes, working closely with senior leadership and external partners. The position offers broad exposure across a wide range of investment structures and strategies, operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with significant visibility and opportunity for growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee fund accounting, including financial reporting, general ledger, and capital activity
• Manage valuation processes in coordination with internal leadership and third-party providers
• Lead audit processes and serve as a key point of contact for external auditors
• Partner with portfolio companies to gather financial data and ensure accurate reporting
• Coordinate across multiple funds with varying structures, strategies, and requirements
• Support the build-out and ongoing improvement of fund accounting processes and workflows
• Work closely with senior leadership to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information
• Assist with onboarding new funds and managing evolving investment structures

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3–8 years of relevant experience in fund accounting, public accounting, or investment management
• Experience with private equity, venture capital, or real assets preferred
• Strong understanding of fund structures, valuations, and audit processes
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation:

• $150-200k range
