Kforce is partnering with a premier PE/VC fund administration firmin Boston, MA to find a strategic Fund Controller. Summary: This is an elevated opportunity for a finance professional to step into a leadership role, driving financial reporting and administration operations for a sophisticated portfolio of clients. As a Fund Controller, you aren't just managing books - you are a key advisor and operational leader. Working in tandem with Engagement Managers, you will oversee the full lifecycle of fund accounting, capital account maintenance, and high-level financial statement preparation. This position is designed for a professional who enjoys the intersection of technical accounting and client-facing strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Stewardship: Leading the preparation of complex financial statements and ensuring the integrity of all fund accounting data
- Audit & Tax Oversight: Serving as the primary point of contact for external auditors and tax professionals to streamline year-end processes
- Capital Management: Orchestrating calculations for Capital Calls, Distributions, and investor Allocations
- Portfolio Intelligence: Providing detailed management and tracking of portfolio company financings
- Cash Flow Strategy: Managing and forecasting cash flows to ensure fund liquidity and operational efficiency
- Investor Relations: Delivering Quarterly Reports to Limited Partners and managing investor data
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; CPA is a plus
- 2 years of public accounting (or equivalent). Partnership Accounting and prior PE/VC experience is highly preferred.
- Mastery of Excel
- Familiarity with QuickBooks preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
