A Boston-based firm is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented accounting professional to join its Finance team. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Finance, this role will support the accounting and financial operations of the firm’s management company, with responsibilities spanning financial reporting, close activities, accounts payable and receivable, budgeting support, and operational finance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Prepare financial statements and internal management reporting packages
- Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable activities across multiple entities
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking initiatives
- Partner with external auditors and support year-end audit and tax processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Support automation and technology initiatives to streamline workflows and reporting
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as needed
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA-track preferred
- Prior experience within financial services, investment management, or public accounting preferred
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Experience supporting AP/AR and close processes
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite or QuickBooks
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
Compensation:
- $90-120k
