- Process semi-monthly payroll for employees in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation, including new hires, terminations, and compensation changes.
- Prepare payroll-related reports for internal teams as required.
- Manage payroll taxes, deductions, and benefit contributions accurately and on schedule.
- Prepare and submit retirement plan contribution files.
- Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws and internal policies.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, tax forms, and earnings statements.
- Collaborate with Finance and HR to resolve discrepancies or processing issues.
- Support the implementation or upgrade of payroll systems and related tools.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparation of employment documents and maintenance of personnel files.
- Support benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and responding to employee questions.
- Assist with retirement plan administration and HRIS updates.
- Maintain accurate and confidential HR records in accordance with legal and organizational requirements.
- Support HR reporting, audits, and compliance initiatives.
- Maintain training acknowledgments and other employee documentation.
- Assist with coordination of employee engagement activities and events.
- Bachelor’s degree or at least 5 year of equivalent experience.
- Must have excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate in person, over the phone and in writing as well as strong interpersonal and customer services skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook and ADP.
- Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
- Understanding of all payroll and benefits policies and programs.
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and deal with highly confidential information appropriately in a fast-paced environment.
