JOB DESCRIPTION: DIRECTOR OF SALES
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Sales is a member of the Leadership Team. Members of the Leadership Team are responsible for leading their departments and collaborating throughout the organization to ensure the company operates at a world-class standard. Primary responsibilities of the Director of Sales include managing sales/customer service teams, directly managing some customer accounts, supporting Account Managers, and maintaining client relationships. The Director of Sales is also responsible for the development and execution of revenue-generating strategies. The Director of Sales reports to the Chief Operating Officer. *The Director of Sales is an onsite role and will be based at our Corporate office, located in McKinney, TX. This is not a remote job. This position requires 15%-25% travel.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage the sales and customer service teams to perform at a world-class level.
- Exemplify servant leadership by supporting and empowering team members, while encouraging accountability and effectively managing responsibilities to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Develop and implement a business plan to increase revenue and market share.
- Contribute to the plan of short-term and long-term objectives.
- Identify business opportunities and develop new markets.
- Establish business targets for existing and prospective customers.
- Execute and manage sales plans and growth strategies.
- Regularly report progress to the leadership team while fostering effective internal communication throughout the organization.
- Maintain open communication with executive leadership regarding sales performance, market trends, and strategy.
- Create internal and external sales reports, presentations, and dashboards (including daily sales order reporting and forecasts).
- Analyze market conditions and develop pricing strategies.
- Consider market competitiveness, commodity price changes, and value proposition when quoting or adjusting prices.
- Draft and negotiate customer contracts as directed by the executive management team.
- Serve as a trusted business advisor to customers, adding value through technical and market expertise.
- Obtain and evaluate customer requirements to recommend appropriate product solutions.
- Explore new market opportunities in coordination with the Product Development team to achieve established business goals.
- Conduct performance reviews, recommend compensation adjustments, and build a high-performing team.
- Support marketing initiatives.
- Leverage strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail to drive accuracy, efficiency, and consistent achievement of business objectives.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Business or Marketing preferred.
- 5 years of experience in sales leadership and account management.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably in flexible PVC.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with the ability to create reports, analyze data, and prepare professional presentations.
