We are hiring for a Head Boys Swim Coach for the 2026-27 Season
Manitowoc Lincoln is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Head Coach for our High School Boys Swim program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing student-athletes both in and out of the pool, fostering teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship while building a competitive and inclusive program.
Essential Job Functions
- Plan, organize, and conduct effective practices and game strategies
- Develop players’ swim skills, physical conditioning, and sport specific knowledge
- Promote academic success, character development, and leadership among student-athletes
- Ensure a safe and positive environment for all participants
- Coordinate meet schedules, travel arrangements, and team communications
- Work collaboratively with assistant coaches, school staff, and parents
- Maintain compliance with school, district, and WIAA policies
- Manage equipment, uniforms, and program budget responsibly
- Oversee youth development in partnership with elementary and middle school coaches
Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience (high school or higher preferred)
- Strong knowledge of swim fundamentals and team strategy
- Ability to motivate and mentor high school students
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Lifeguard/CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Background check clearance as required by the district
- Teaching certification or experience working in an educational setting
- Experience developing youth athletes and building team culture
- Commitment to creating an inclusive team environment
