Position Summary
Manitowoc Lincoln is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Head Coach for our Boys Hockey program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing student-athletes both on and off the court, fostering teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship while building a competitive and inclusive program.
Essential Job Functions
- Plan, organize, and conduct effective practices and game strategies
- Develop players’ hockey skills, physical conditioning, and game knowledge
- Promote academic success, character development, and leadership among student-athletes
- Ensure a safe and positive environment for all participants
- Coordinate game schedules, travel arrangements, and team communications
- Work collaboratively with assistant coaches, school staff, and parents
- Maintain compliance with school, district, and WIAA policies
- Manage equipment, uniforms, and program budget responsibly
- Oversee youth development in partnership with youth organizations
Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience (high school or higher preferred)
- Strong knowledge of hockey fundamentals and game strategy
- Ability to motivate and mentor high school students
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Background check clearance as required by the district
- Teaching certification or experience working in an educational setting preferred
- Experience developing youth athletes and building team culture preferred
- Commitment to creating an inclusive team environment is preferred

Pay: $4,275.00 per year
