Shady Grove, PA Full Time
POSTED ON 7/6/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 11/1/2026

Are you the builder who makes every bolt count?

If you excel at turning blueprints into reality and keeping meticulous build logs, this Industrial Crane Final Assembly Mechanic role is for you. You’ll report to a Production Supervisor, plan and lay out work, and assemble crane sub‑assemblies and completed machines to exacting standards—while championing Lean, 5S, and TPR across the floor.

Picture yourself here

  • Checking incoming parts—form, fit, function—before they touch the product.
  • Marrying bearings, seals, and hydraulic circuits so every movement is smooth and per spec.
  • Hooking up hydraulic controls, pumps, rams, solenoids, valves, gauges, piping, and hoses—then pressure‑checking.
  • Installing air/vacuum tanks, routing hoses and tubing with clean, serviceable runs.
  • Mounting engines, gear boxes, axles, and related power components and tying them into the system cleanly.
  • Operating and validating sub‑assemblies; confirming performance before they advance.
  • Logging serial numbers, models, brands, torque results, and other critical data without fail.
  • Spotting defects or unusual conditions early; fixing or replacing components and alerting supervision.
  • Owning a specialty area while being ready to shift to other final assembly tasks to keep work flowing.
  • Performing and verifying torque operations and capturing results in the logbook.
  • Following shop orders, specifications, and instructions to the letter—then delivering safely and on time.

What you bring

  • Math fluency across whole numbers, fractions, and decimals (add/subtract/multiply/divide).
  • Blueprint reading proficiency and confidence with tape measures and precision measuring tools.
  • Ability to complete all mandated safety training within regulatory timelines.

Education and experience

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; technical/vocational training valued.
  • Prefer 3 years of manufacturing assembly experience.

Nice to have

  • Comfort with laptops for downloading programs, setting parameters, and clearing error codes.
  • A/C certification for charging and leak detection.

Safety first, always

  • Keep the area audit‑ready with housekeeping and 5S.
  • Use PPE as required and follow all safety and health rules.
  • Engage in safety training and demonstrate competency in what you learned.
  • Speak up about hazards, unsafe acts, and ideas for improvement—or fix what you safely can.
