CYBERSECURITY ARCHITECT To Serve the Healthcare Industry

MANIFEST Technology is hiring a Cybersecurity Architect with strong hands-on AWS Cloud Security experience. This role is focused on cloud security architecture, implementation and evaluation of security controls, risk assessment, security reviews, and collaboration with technical teams to strengthen secure cloud design. The ideal candidate will bring 8 years of cybersecurity, cloud security, or information security experience; deep AWS security knowledge across IAM, VPC, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, GuardDuty, Security Hub, KMS, and S3; familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, SOC 2, or ISO 27001; and strong communication, troubleshooting, and technical design skills.

Position Type: Contract-to-Hire

Duration: 6-month with possible extension

Location/Hours: Remote; Minnesota

Pay Range: Market Rate

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and support secure AWS cloud architectures aligned with business, compliance, and technical requirements.
• Assess cloud security risks and recommend effective controls, remediation plans, and secure design patterns.
• Perform security reviews of technical designs, architectures, and cloud implementations.
• Configure, evaluate, and advise on AWS security services including IAM, VPC, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, GuardDuty, Security Hub, KMS, and S3.
• Partner with engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, and security teams to implement cloud security best practices.
• Document security requirements, architecture decisions, control gaps, and recommended improvements.
• Troubleshoot cloud security issues and provide practical guidance to technical stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

• 8 years of Cybersecurity, Cloud Security, or Information Security experience.
• Strong hands-on AWS Security experience.
• Experience with IAM, VPC, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, GuardDuty, Security Hub, KMS, and S3.
• Cloud security architecture experience, including security controls and risk assessment.
• Experience conducting security reviews and evaluating technical designs.
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, SOC 2, or ISO 27001.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• AWS Certified Security – Specialty certification.
• Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code experience.
• DevSecOps or CI/CD security experience.
• SIEM or security monitoring experience.
