MFA Graduate Assistant, Inkwell
Role
The main responsibility of the position is to serve as a managing editor or co-managing editor of Inkwell, the MFA Program's literary magazine. This role involves managing all aspects of the magazine including, but not limited to:
managing submissions
soliciting submissions from established writers
making editorial decisions
interacting with accepted authors
collating the issue for copy-editing
copy-editing the issue
assisting in the design of the issue
Required
This position offers a 3-credit of tuition waiver to be used for classes in the MFA in Creative Writing Program for the fall and spring semester (6-credits in total).
Hours Expectation
Part-time, 29 hours or less per week
Housing
Housing is not provided.
Benefits
Graduate Assistants are not eligible for benefits.

- Enrolled in the MFA Creative Writing graduate program at Manhattanville
- Excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented
- Previous experience working on a literary publication is preferred but not required
