Job Title: Early Learning Classroom Support

Job Brief:

To ensure high quality learning and student/teacher ratios are maintained when regular early learning support staff are absent. We strive to work as a team to help students meet their full potential through the implementation of dynamic educational programs. Qualifications:

Salary:

$12.00 – 16.00/hour.
Placement within this range is based on relevant qualifications, including prior experience, education, and applicable certifications (e.g., bachelor's degree, advanced certification, bilingual proficiency, etc.).

Reports To: Teacher/Principal

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on the evaluation of classified personnel.

Job Duties:

Assist or directly carry out educational activities designed by the educator.
Responsible for meal preparation and supervises rest time.
Engage with students during indoor/outdoor play with precautions for student safety.
Guide classroom behavior in an age-appropriate way.
Support the needs of students during small groups or individual instruction.
Respond appropriately to the cultural, economic, and linguistic differences between students.
Respect the confidentiality and privacy of all students, parents, and staff members.
Other duties as assigned by educator.
