Position Overview
The Economic Analyst will support analytical efforts related to workforce program performance, financial activity, and economic trends impacting the UI system.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct economic and statistical analysis on UI program data
- Support trend analysis across claims, payments, and adjudication outcomes
- Assist in evaluating program performance and operational efficiency
- Contribute to analytical reports, briefs, and dashboards
- Support improper payment and financial analysis activities
- Assist in identifying policy and programmatic implications of findings
- Minimum 3 years of experience in economics, data analytics, or related field
- Experience with statistical tools (R, Python, SAS, etc.)
- Familiarity with workforce or unemployment insurance programs preferred
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Experience supporting Unemployment Insurance (UI), workforce development programs, or similar federal/state programs
