SUMMARY:
The incumbent in this role is the link between the Design, Product Development and Production teams ensuring that the design room runs smoothly. Involved in the creation of products from conception to production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist with sample room PO tracking – both inbound and outbound
o Daily receiving and recording of design fabrics, trims, garment samples arrivals
o Ensuring that all fabrics arrive on time and are tagged and distributed the same day they arrive.
o Keeping organization and inventory count
o Tracking outgoing and incoming design parcels
o Communicating and ensuring sample ETD
· Management of sample room
o Receive & coordinate sample receipt & updating WIP tracker
o Organize sample closet and account for all samples
o Fulfill all sample requests and provide ETA and tracking information
o Inspection of salesmen samples including defects, tagging, incorrect sewing etc.
o Removing all reduced and dropped styles
o Preparation of sample lines for sales meetings
o Line sheet printing /creating swatch rings, support sales making materials
· PLM coordinating assistance
o Learning and supporting with FLEX PLM data entry - private label
o Assist in PLM BOM and data entry – branded
o Onboarding any new PLM related systems and programs
· PD & Merchandising assistance
o Supports in the process of product development
§ Print development reports, help generate weekly/ monthly development data recaps
o Assist with sourcing packets
§ Including photography, labeling, quotation charts
o Picking up and dropping off local fabrics, and samples from DC office
· Other duties as assigned to meet organizational objectives
o Print artwork copyright filling
o Weekly Fit scheduling
o Attend and report on QC fittings
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 1 to 2 years in Apparel Product Development or Production team preferred
- PC literate Excel, Word, Outlook are required; Illustrator and photoshop is a plus
- Detail oriented and exceptional time management skills
- Basic math skills required
- Keen to learn and a hands-on approach to work
- Must have general apparel knowledge of garments and construction
- PLM experience preferred * Spec sheet, BOM data entry (willing to train the right person)
- Team Player with a positive & flexible attitude and a great work integrity
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, walk and stand intermittently, sit, bend occasionally. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.
